A Wedding We Planned with So Much Love and Excitement

Some weddings are special. And then some weddings make you smile every time you think about them. Dipti and Pratik ’s wedding was exactly that for us at Ikigaii Planners.

This was an arranged marriage, but with a beautiful twist. Both families had known each other for a long time. And on a very personal level, Dipti is my school friend. We have studied together and grown up together. We have been friends for almost fifteen to twenty years now. So when she trusted us with her wedding, it felt deeply personal.

From day one, we knew this wedding had to feel warm, smooth, and joyful.

Getting Started with the Planning

The couple got engaged in June, and by November, their wedding celebrations came together beautifully in Dubai. Since this was the first time many guests from the groom’s side were visiting the city, it was important for everyone that the experience felt comfortable, smooth, and truly special. 

From stay arrangements to daily flow, every detail was planned carefully to make sure the family and guests enjoyed Dubai while celebrating the wedding together.

Three Days. Three Different Moods

dipti and pratik ‘s wedding had three days of celebrations, and each day had its own energy. Our job was to make sure every event felt different, but still connected.

Day One: Sangeet Night with a Disco Theme

We started the wedding with a bang.

Day one was the Sangeet, and it had a fun disco party theme. The idea was simple. Let everyone dance, enjoy, and celebrate without any pressure.

From Family performances to free dancing, the night was full of energy and excitement. We also had an emcee who kept the flow smooth and lively throughout the evening. The families had planned some lovely performances, and one of the highlights of the night was the bride’s solo performance, which truly stole the show. 

Behind the scenes, our team managed all the timings, music cues, and coordination, so everything moved seamlessly. We had planned a beautiful disco-style backdrop with a proper dance floor, and lighting played a huge role here. Everything was designed in a way that made guests want to step onto the dance floor the moment they walked in.

Day Two Morning: Mandvo and Haldi Ceremony

Day two began on a calmer and more traditional note.

In the morning, the family performed a ritual called the Mandvo. Being Gujrati’s, it is incomplete without hot Jalebi and fafdas, which were arranged from a speciality vendor. Right after that came the Haldi ceremony.

For the Haldi, we used fresh and happy colours like yellow and purple. The ceremony was planned outdoors, with the Museum of the Future being the backdrop.

We made sure everything felt comfortable on dipti and pratik ‘s wedding. The seating, setup, and ritual space were all planned simply and cleanly. The focus stayed on emotions, laughter, and family moments.

And honestly, those are always the best kind of memories.

Taking Care of Guests

Since the bride’s family was hosting the groom’s entire side, guest comfort was very important.

From arrivals to daily schedules, our team made sure guests always felt guided and relaxed. They never had to worry about where to go or what was next.

Good planning should never feel loud. It should feel smooth. And that is exactly what we aimed for.

Day Three: The Wedding Ceremony

The wedding day was all about tradition and emotion.

The décor moved into rich red tones, which looked beautiful and meaningful. The mandap was designed to feel traditional yet elegant. Nothing was too heavy or cluttered.

All the rituals were planned carefully, including the Sindoor. Timing was very important here. We worked closely with the family and pandit to make sure every ritual happened peacefully and without rush.

We also had singers at the wedding, which added such a lovely emotional touch to the ceremony.

What Was Happening Behind the Scenes

While everything looked calm on the surface, our team was constantly working in the background.

We were managing vendors, décor changes, rituals, guest movement, and timings. Our main goal was simple.
“ Keep the bride and groom stress-free.”

And seeing Dipti and Pratik enjoy their wedding with smiles and calm faces made all the effort worth it.

This wedding came together beautifully because of great teamwork.

The makeup artist for the wedding was Sadhana, and her work fit perfectly with the overall look. Photography was done by Shutterbug, who captured the wedding in such a natural and emotional way.

When everyone works with the same understanding, the result always shows.

Why This Wedding Meant So Much to Us

This wedding was special for many reasons.

It was personal.
It was joyful.
And it was full of heart.

Watching families come together, seeing the couple stay relaxed, and knowing that our planning helped create these moments is what makes our work meaningful.
